This session will look at federal vs. state approaches to defining the terms “recycling” or recyclable, with discussion on FTC Green Guides, federal legislative proposals to help provide standardized definitions, and how labeling programs such as How2Recycle and Smart Label are responding to evolving policies. The goal is to help stakeholders understand the legislative landscape and prepare for clearer, more consistent packaging claims on label.
