Founded in 2007, EFS-plastics has grown to become a leading player in the plastics recycling industry. With three facilities strategically located throughout North America, we have the capacity to process over 100 million pounds of polyolefin plastics into resins each year. Our process diverts mixed plastics and shopping bags from ending up in landfills, not only reducing waste, but also conserving valuable resources and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
At our headquarters in Listowel, Ontario, and our newest plant in Lethbridge, Alberta we have focused our expertise to specialize on three key areas of plastic recycling: PET, rigid HDPE and rigid Polypropylene. While we recycle LDPE film at these locations as well, our main film outlet is our US plant in Hazleton, PA.
Our operations are designed to custom compound the resin we produce. This means we have the ability to create unique compound formulations tailored to meet the specific needs of our customers. Through this process, we can ensure that the recycled plastics we produce are of the highest quality and can be used in a wide range of applications.
We use curbside collected mixed plastics from household waste, which we purchase directly from regional municipal recycling facilities in Canada and the US. Specifically for LDPE film, we do purchase commercially generated waste from distribution centers and retail operations as well. This plastic waste is converted into high-quality, clean, reprocessed resins. In turn, these resins are used by plastics processors in Canada and the US to manufacture a variety of plastics products from storage & recycling bins, construction & building products to consumer goods and packaging.
At EFS-plastics, we are proud of our technical expertise and commitment to sustainability. Through our innovative recycling processes and state-of-the-art facilities, we are playing our part in creating a greener future and we invite you to join us!
