Description

As packaging regulations tighten and corporate sustainability commitments and claims come under increasing scrutiny, the gap between ambition and real-world implementation is becoming impossible to ignore. In this session, Tom Szaky, CEO & Founder of TerraCycle and Loop, will explore how companies can create competitive advantage by rethinking packaging through innovative recycling and reuse business models.

Drawing on real-world examples from some of the hardest-to-recycle formats, including flexible films, multi-material, and low-value packaging, Tom will address the systemic “elephants in the room” that slow progress, from infrastructure limitations to economic and design trade-offs. Attendees will gain practical insights into how brands, retailers, and packaging stakeholders can move beyond incremental changes to take meaningful action on recycling, recycled content, and reuse, while positioning their organizations to meet emerging regulatory requirements and evolving market expectations.
